Happy New Year to all! Yesterday we dived at Rye Pier, and true to form, this site never disappoints. I can’t count the times that we’ve dived this site, but every time I dive here it is like a completely new experience. The vis was great, as were the water conditions. The water temperature was up 2° from last Saturday’s dive making it toasty warm. Katrina wore her 3mm wetty and said that she was very comfortable. This site is well known for seahorses, stingrays and the odd octopus, and all three were spotted, along with the usual array of crabs hiding amongst the debris, schools of leatherjackets and gorgeous Blennies playing peek-a-boo from tiny holes in the pylons.
Welcome to the new divers that have joined our group over the last couple of weeks, and it’s great that our buddies that have been busy with work and study in 2012 have been able to join us again.
