Quarantine Station drift dive – Wednesday 6th January 2016

Divers: Ben E & Andrew G
The winds had picked up in the afternoon so it wasn’t going to be much fun to leave the calm waters of Port Phillip Bay and dive the J5 sub. But instead of packing up qnd going home early we decided to do a drift dive. There’s nothing like relaxing and letting the water do all the work as you “fly”. We were taken to the former Quarintine Station near Point Nepean and were told to look out for dolphins during our dive, but they must still be on holiday. The crabs were out in force though and I’m pretty sure one was following us for most of our dive. Our bottom time was over all to quickly but it did mean it was time for lunch.
