Portsea Hole & Popes Eye – Saturday 13th February 2022

Divers: Lucy, Olivia, Liam, Daniel, Sean, Nathan, Seb, Tim & Mark

The strong easterlies have been here for a week now and although the wind was not having a huge impact on the water conditions, it did make the surface conditions sloppy. But apart from that the dive conditions were fantastic, 20 plus metre viz & 20 degree water. The boat was full to capacity with divers wanting to make the most of the conditions. We started our Portsea Hole dive off by swimming along the wall to the south/east and ended by drifting up & over the wall doing our safety stop drifting in the current. At Popes Eye there seemed to be more fish than usual, which made for a really cool dive, but as always there comes a time when we have to ascend and end our dive. Conditions are looking even better for this coming weekend, lets hope the suns out as well 🙂
