Mornington Pier – Sunday 9th December 2018

Divers: Simon, Josh, Spike, Youri & Mark

I’m sure we all had the same thought as we stood at the end of the pier looking at deep blue, oily flat water out on the distance – “should be out in the Graveyard”. However, to do the big dives safely you need to put in the hard yards in training. That’s exactly what we were doing at Mornington, making sure that when we do do bottle rotations at depth, that they are solid and concise. The viz was about 6-8 metres which is pretty good for Mornington, but the water temperature was 19 degrees, which made for a very comfortable 45minutes bottom time.
