As always with new equipment, it is best to sort out any potential issues with it in the shallows prior to diving deep & that’s exactly what we did on Saturday. Although the dive was a ‘shake down’ of different equipment configurations we still had a very enjoyable time swimming to the end of the pier & back again, our dive lasted for 50 minutes and the amount of fish life under Morning Pier at the moment is amazing. I’m not sure if it’s to do with the fact that the end of the pier is still off limits to the fisherman or not, but I’ve never seen the amount of fish life & the size of the fish like this before. If this is how Mornington is going to be when the fisherman cannot access the end of the pier then I hope they never finish the pier off & it stays as it is!!
