Strong westerlies, 3-4 metres waves and low viz all added up to only those needing to get into the water doing so. The surface crew were there to carry tanks, handle equipment & generally offer support to those diving. With new equipment or equipment that just needed to checked out prior to diving this was a great opportunity to make the most of what was otherwise ‘not great’ diving conditions. We had cancelled all of our boat dives, but as always the team were keen to dive, just not that keen. Several lattes and the big breakfast later we soon start to arrange next weekends dives – fingers crossed the viz will have picked up by then.
