Mornington Pier – Saturday 23rd May 2020

Divers: Leo, Youri, Ben, Josh, Sam, Matt, Katie, Taz, Paige, Pia & Mark

It didn’t matter that the conditions were absolutely perfect for todays dive, because we would have been happy with anything after such a long surface interval!! There has been some work going on at the pier with the pylons being scraped clean, I think this may have impacted on the amount of fish life, but again thats was fine with us. The viz was about 8-10m and the water was not too cold. By the time we swam to the end of the pier & back again, this was just the right amount of in water time for our first dive back. The 11 Arm Sea Stars were out in force and with only two Northern Pacific Sea Stars reported things are really looking good at Mornington. This was a great opportunity to blow  a few cob webs off the dive gear and hopefully get ready to get back into a few boat dives. We have another day booked next Saturday at Mornington so if you’d like to come along please contact the shop to book on, as we need to limit the numbers to 10 divers only.
