Flinders Pier – Sunday 1st May 2016

Divers:   Pete, Boderick, Finnian, Mike, Bert & Anita
Surface support: Mark

30 knot westerlies put an end to our plan to dive at Rye Pier. Fortunately on the Peninsular, we have some very good options for dive sites when blown out. Flat water and good viz where a stark comparison to the metre high waves and brown water we were faced with at Rye. The photographers must have had an early start as the are packing up as we arrive, there are plenty of divers turning up, as I’m sure they, like us, are looking for the best dive conditions. 2 sixty minute dives later we head up to the town centre for a hot coffee and a bite of lunch.
