Wow – what a dive!!! Although the viz was down a little on yesterdays great dive, it was still about 15metres and with the flat seas the diving was just as enjoyable. The depth of the Edward Northcote is 52 meters and at this depth, that extra few metres makes all the difference when compared to some of our 45 metre dives. The ambient light is a lot less and really noticeable. The wreck has a lot of relief off the bottom, although I notice the 2 rooms on the starboard side of the wreck are long gone & only sparse frame work now remains. An interesting feature of this site is that the propeller is still there however the boilers have been removed, maybe there was an opportunity to reuse them in another ship that was being built or refitted at the time??
