Devil’s Dropoff – 1st October 2011

Divers: Michael & Mark

With the Grand Final on last Saturday things were rather quiet in Portsea, Michael & I had the carpark to ourselves and plenty of bench space in the change room. The strong SW that stopped the outside dives happening only had a small impact on the wall dives, the surface was a bit choppy, however, once under the water conditions were good. We were first in the water & dropped over the wall to 42 metres, the tide was still running out when we got in and seemed to run out for quite some time before changing to the flood. As we were practicing skills we didn’t get much of a chance to look around, but this is a really good part of the wall. We had a really good very relaxing dive and still made it home in time to see Collingwood get beat!!
