Blairgowrie Pier – Sunday 15th November 2014

Divers: Cassie, Josh, Haydn, Tony & Mark

We have to get changed in the drizzle, however, the water is oily flat & crystal clear as we enter and at 18 degrees it is also very comfortable. We are one of the first, of many, groups diving here today & fortunately for us we get the best of the days conditions with the wind whipping up in the afternoon. Swimming to the end of the jetty there is a slight current, but not enough to worry about, as always at Blairgowrie there is plenty to see so it takes us a while to get all the way to the end. The Juvenile Toad fish are all laying in the sand at the base of the pylons, there are plenty of nudies & small rays about and Decorator Crabs as well. It’s a bit of climb back up the stairs but the sun is out and the day is starting to warm up. We stop off at the local cafe for lunch and a debrief to end what has been another great days local diving.
