Mornington Pier – Sunday 19th July 2015

Divers : Ben, Nick, Chris & Youri

After 9 days of diving in 26 degrees water we knew today was gonna be a shock to the system. We kitted up slowly, trying to postpone the cold truth as long as possible, getting into a 3mm suit is so much easier than a drysuit…. eventually we got into the water – a chilling 9 degrees. Although, it was not as bad as we thought it would be, it was a sunny day and the viz was pretty good. We swam out till after the boats and then swam under the pier. Chris wanted to sort out some stuff on his rebreather, while the rest of us did some skills just to get used to the drysuit again. We came back under the pier again and went off to enjoy much earned hot coffee and a hot meal.
cheers
