Mornington Pier – Saturday 17th May 2014

Divers: Ben, Andrew & Mark

The strong northerly had knocked out most dives sites, Mornington was a small chance but even the ever reliable Mornington Pier some times gets surgy with a northerly. Our plan was to try our some new gear, do tests on quite a bit of some not so new gear and generally just have a dive. The conditions never really looked great but we did think if we swam out past the work barges we might just fine some flat water. Needless to say this never happened & we soon realised that 1 metre viz we had was as good as it was going to get. So once we had completed all that we needed to do, we decided to end our dive cut our loses. The dive was not much of a dive, however we did sort out all of our equipment and now we are good to go on our next dive.
