With a 2 meter swell there was always going to be some surge, how ever we also had very limited viz as well. But that didn’t detract from a great dive, we followed the shot line down, fortunately it was right next to the sub, we swam towards to bow with the plan of checking out the torpedo tubes and conning tower, which we managed to do – just, as our bottom time was running out. With not enough time to get back to the shot line we shot a SMB from the deck of the sub and started blue water (more like brown water!!) ascent.
