Fawkner – Sunday 13th March 2016

Divers:  Youri, Ben, Tim, Push, Mal, Omer, Richard, Keith & Mark

The dive on the schedule today was the Beverwijk, however we had been told about a small wreck just off the Beverwijk which we thought we would investigate. It turned out to be the Fawkner. It was a great dive and well worth the effort to sort out another of the many mysteries that surround our ships graveyard. The conditions were good as we descended down the shot line, however for the last few weeks we seem to have this layer of dirty water down at about 35 meters, it also has a thermocline that drops the temperature by a couple of degrees. Everyone agreed at the end of the dive the effort to get up early this morning was well worth it, it had been a great dive.
