Rye Pier – Saturday 20th May 2017

Divers: Mark, Elisabeth, Victor, Adam, Lucus, Manual, Cecilie, Yvonne, Renee, Jeff, Josh & Mark

A slight northerly breeze blew down the pier as we walked to the end of the jetty to check out the dive conditions, although there was a slight chop in the shallows the conditions were quite good further out. The viz was a least 6-8 metres and once under the water the dive was most enjoyable. Some of us did two dives, the high light being the dozens of juvenile Sea Horses, although there was an abundance of sea life for those that went looking. Unbelievably the water temperature was 16 degrees which is amazing for this time of year. With good quality, good fitting wet suits the water temperature was no issue for our divers as we coped well with doing two dives.
