Portsea Pier – Saturday 10th November 2012

Visibility: 12m +                       Water Temperature: 18°

Divers: Peter, Barb, Ian, Vinnie, Mick, Mark, Vikki

A little cloudy to start with, but once the sun came out, it lit up the water making it ideal for those with cameras. A little choppy on the surface, but once under the water, there was very little current and the visibility was really clear. There was an amazing amount of globe fish and plenty of marine life on the pylons and in the nooks and crannies of the rubble under the pier. One thing that I can say about Portsea pier, with all the environmental changes that have taken place there over the past couple of years, the marine life at the pier is probably the  healthiest I have ever seen it.
