Mornington Pier – Saturday 3rd December 2011

Visibility: 5m
Water Temperature: 18 Degrees

Divers: Melissa, Mark, Andy, Jack, Tim, Glen, Matt, Michael, Mark, Ian, David, Stuart, Deon, Madeleine, Geoff
Surface Crew: Tracey, Vikki & Jack (the dog!! WOOF!!)

A great crowd turned up for our first dive for the Summer Program. A GIANT! Stride off the end of the car park found the divers swimming on the surface towards the dive flag whereupon they descended. The visibility wasn’t all that crash hot, it was much better than any of the dive sites further north in the bay. Even thought the building works are still continuing the fish have started to return.  Seahorses, a large school of Old Wives,
Leatherjackets , Wrasse and a giant Stingray all made great photo subjects. Because of the heavy boat traffic in that area we cautiously swam back on the surface to our exit point. Great work Ian for keeping control and removing fishing line from your buddy 🙂
