J1 Sub – Saturday 9th March 2013

Divers: Rod, Josh & Mark

The warm weather we are experiencing at the moment makes for some fantastic diving, however the warmer water, up to 24degress, seems to be producing an algae bloom that sits at a layer between 20 – 35metres. The viz in this layer is only about 3-5 metres and once through the layer the viz improves however the ambient light disappears, making deeper dives more like night dives. This was the case on our J1 Sub dive, the viz was fine however it was very dark – none the less we enjoyed the dive and next time we plan to do a full penetration in the sub.
