Milora – Sunday 26th June 2016

Divers: Leo, Andrew, Push, Ben, Youri & Mark

After World War One the Australian Federal Government wanted to have a Commonwealth Line of steamers, that would service Australia. Originally built as the Emita, the Milora was one such ship. Her primary use was as a collier and general cargo. At 3347 tons she is the largest of the Graveyard Wrecks. Conditions were perfect as we steamed out to the site this morning, the shot was dropped just a few metres from the wreck and the viz was about 4-5 metres. It was a training dive for my team, so we focused on our drills, however the others enjoyed a swim around the wreck prior to there ascent.
