Flinders Jetty – Saturday 8th December 2012

Visibility: Excellent                      Water Temperature: 18°

Divers: Veronica, Robert, Catherine, Vinnie, Madeleine, Geoff, David, Mark
Surface Crew: Agnes, Vikki

A keen team of Aquability Saturday Divers turned up at Flinders Jetty, to check out the Weedy Seadragons. Anxious to know whether there was a nursery there, Madeleine and Geoff headed the hunt, with camera in tow. Alas, no nursery was to be found, but everyone agreed that they saw hundreds????  of Weedys, in groups of up to 8 , and many still carrying eggs. This is definitely one of our favourite sites, as we keep watch the development of the Weedy Seadragon population. Once again the conditions at Flinders were absolutely fantastic with ‘Tropically’ clear water. This is the third time that we have dived here and have been blessed with fabulous conditions. Lunch at the Red Hill bakery afterwards to debrief. A great end to a great dive.
