City of Launceston – Sunday 30th August 2015

Divers:  Ben, Nick, Jason & Mark
Surface support: John

The CoL sank in 1865 when she was hit broadside by the Penola. One of the most luxurious ships on Port Phillip Bay at the time, the CoL had decretive toilets on board, at a time when no Melbourne city building had flushing toilets. For the Melbourne wreck diver CoL should be at the top of your ‘to do’ list. Although access to the site is restricted there are opportunities from time to time for access to the site, as was the case for four lucky divers yesterday.
