Last Saturday after talking it down all week due to the forecast we had one of the best dives in ages. The forecast was for strong winds and rain, fortunately for us we arrived before that came and left portsea with just a slight breeze blowing. We arrived at the Grotto and the water was a deep blue colour. We were at the end of the flood which is the best time to dive the heads if you can manage it with scheduling etc. As soon as you put your head under you could not only see the bottom but see the fish waiting. Fantastic I thought I have my camera and not a student in sight, it all about me. My buddy and I dropped over the ledge and I started bangin off shot after shot, they always look so good inn the view finder. We had a fantastic dive clear water heaps of fish including a port jackson, crayfish huge dusky morwong and a large school of travelly. Others on the dive saw cuttlefish and a ledge of 15 port jacksons as well on the dive.
