A different way to spend your saturday night is a night dive under Rye pier. Like Blairgowrie Rye is one of our best dives and home to many cool critters and at night they all come out. The list of things is reasonably long but we will start at the startof the list of critters that came out and shared our saturday night adventure.
A really really large Stargazer, Blue ringed octopus, southern fiddler ray, juvenile flathead( a lot) brindled leatherjackets (lots too), two types of seahorses, big bellied and short headed sea horses. Gobbleguts, cobblers. dragonets, squid, dumpling squid, keeled octopus, sand crabs, short headed worm eels, common stingaree, goatfish, loads of red bait crabs all over the pylons, flounder, verco's nudi and the orange one also and some sort of pygmy squid or maybe juvenile cuttlefish. We havd great conditions and an awesome dive. Look forward to the next night as this like the last one we did was a blast.
