It was a painfully early start for a Sunday morning, but this site is tide-dependent & diving takes precedence over sleep. We entered the water at 08:30 to dive on the end of the ebb tide. The conditions were about as good as it gets here: flat calm, no surge, just a whisper of current and around 12-15m visibility. We swam due S out to the ledge structure and followed it along W for 45 mins or so, swimming slowly so as to take it all in. The fish life has really started returning since the water temp began to rise exactly a month ago. We saw lots of old wives, moonlighters, wrasse, morwong, magpie perch and a large fiddler ray. The algae looked very healthy and the ledges were full of sponges and gorgonians. This is a very accessible site, and also a rewarding dive in the right conditions. On the basis of the diving over the last few weeks, it looks like we are in for a cracker of a summer.
