On a beautiful, sunny, Saturday morning I can't think of anything better to do than to don the diving gear and get wet\'85.. And I'm not alone!!! As usual we met on site at 10am and made our way down to the pier. Greeted with great conditions we were amazed at the variety of marine life that inhabits under the pier and the adjacent Horseshoe Reef (which is west of the pier). Two large Cuttlefish, A Southern Fiddler Ray (thanks Julie J ), a Seahorse, schools of Leatherjackets, Globe Fish, Goat Fish, Zebra Fish, Shaw's Cowfish, Blennys on the pylons, a Western Stargazer, and at least 6 Weedy Seadragons. Portsea Pier & the adjacent Horseshoe Reef is, in my opinion, becoming the second best site for divers to catch a glimpse of a Weedy on the Mornington Peninsula. If you haven't had a chance to join us recently we would love to see you before the Summer Shore Diving program comes to an end for this season.
