I cannot believe the weather is still staying this good for every weekend. Once again we had perfect conditions as we travelled out through the heads, the water temperature has dropped to 15 degrees so I'm back to wearing a hood again. The Piggott is only 160 foot long & there were plenty of divers on the boat so it was a little bit crowded down below. Even with the rain lately the viz was still quite good & my team managed to cover the complete wreck from stem to stern. This is a great site with plenty to see, especially the bow which still has the anchor davit in place. The stern has collapsed substantially but is still interesting and plenty to see. There is obviously very little current as we are at our 6 metre stop I can see the hang tank on the shot line.

We were first to step off the boat & last to get back on, which is how I like it - this means we are getting maximum benefit of our time spent for the dive. Once we finish our course skills, we still have time to swim through the sub. Now that the pressure hull at the bow has collapsed somewhat, I think this is the best place to start our penetration, swimming through the sub towards the stern we negotiate our way around the large section of plating which has collapsed in. Then we manoeuvre our way through the remaining bulk heads, finally we get to the last bulk head, this takes us into the crew's quarters giving access to last hatch which will allow us to exist the sub. This has been a long & slow process because we are doing all of this carrying 4 tanks.
