This Saturday at Mornington Pier was what shore diving is all about! A large group of regular and new divers turned up to dive this great location\'85.each person with their own reason for being there. Firstly, there was the group of divers trying out their new drysuits under Adrian's watchful eye, then there were the divers that hadn't dived for a while and were taking advantage of the pleasant winter diving conditions to brush up on their skills, next were the photographers, armed with their mind boggling photographic equipment, and last, but not at all least, the divers that just love getting wet whenever and wherever they can.
A giant stride off the wall and a short snorkel to the opening in the rocks, then under the water to do what each diver came to do\'85DIVE!!!!! 'Lucky Mick' saw a stunning Cuttlefish, the photographers took some great photos and the newly adorned drysuit divers loved being warm & dry in and out of the water....'no more squishy feet for me' said Barb!!
Being on the other side as surface crew I saw first hand exactly how hard our surface crew work to make sure that everyone gets into the water safely, passing down fragile photographing equipment and sorting out an array of issues to make the dive go smoothly for those in the water. Sarah even made fruit cake to feed the hungry masses when they returned from their dive. A big thank you to our surface crew.
