Temperature 13.5 degrees, 3 pm
With the arrival of the gales on Saturday the chance of a dive over last weekend appeared to be zero but on Sunday morning I found the skies were blue and the wind abating. I was eager to try my new camera so took a chance on a trip to Queenscliff to dive on the Lonsdale Wall. With new Dive Vic set up I was surprised to find that I could almost step out of the car into my gear and on to the boat in the space of 30 metres. The waters had calmed nicely and so I was partnered up with Lou and descended to the first terrace of the wall . The crevices, shelves and small caves were wonderful and I was able to find lots of new friends who agreed to be photographed. Not all of them gave me their name or even showed their face but I was delighted with my little camera's ability to pack them all in and let me bring them home as megapixels.
