The wind did not drop off at all during the day so the Northerly's put an end to our planned dive of Portsea Hole, however over on the Wall (where every dive boat in Melbourne had gathered) the conditions were great. SCUBA diving is an equipment based sport and sometimes the equipment can let you down, which was the case on our wall dive. But for those that did get to do it, it was a great dive!!
Plenty to see and lots of undercuts and ledges to investigate, the overcast skies above meant a lack of ambient light but with our torches at the ready this was no problem, the tide soon changed to a Flood and was time for us to ascend, we did our ascent drifting over the top of the wall meant there was plenty to see right up until the last few minutes of our dive.
