Kelpbeds Reef & South Channel Fort September 29th
Divers: Gordon, Liz & Mark
The weather had picked up a lot since yesterday, sunny, not much wind & it was almost pleasant out on the water. We dived Kelpbeds first & I deliberately keep the shot line with me, for I wanted Gordon & Liz to ascend up the line in the current, because this is what they would be doing if we get out to dive the Glenelg on Friday. Next we dive the Fort and all goes well on the day, however I get a phone call from gordon at 6.00pm at night saying Liz has sore ears. We go into panic mode & immediately start arranging doctors appoints for Liz. Fortunately for us Vanessa Haller agrees to see Liz the following day. We met in the afternoon to discuss our options. It's simple, either Liz can equalize her ears or she can't & if she can then she dives & if she can't she doesn't. What a tragedy, after all the hard work she has put into this, the hailstones, the cold and the week away from the comforts of home!!
