Although it was an early morning start the cool fresh water hitting our faces as we dropped below the surface soon woke us up. The instruction from the skipper was head S/E if the shot was not on the wreck, so we did because it wasn't, and luckily for us we did, as we were the only team to find the wreck. The swell was up a little so we decided not to enter the sub, but instead checked out the top - we saw that the tags from the survey work are still in place and hopefully the work there will soon be completed. Some times on deco we get the odd seal swimming around us or maybe even a dolphin will spend a few minutes checking us out, but this is the first time I've had a crab swim me at 5 metres!! He swam all the way up from 38 metres and spent our entire deco time swimming with us and I must say he was a lot more friendly towards me than the seals are!!

The swell had dropped for our second dive of the day and we were keen to back out. Although we still were not going to enter the wreck. Our dive went well and once again we have to end it all too soon, there are some definite advantages to diving over winter and having the Big Brekkie back at the cafe afterwards is one of them. It gave a great chance to chat about our dive and to put some plans in place for the next adventure.
