Scuba Diving in Melbourne

J5 - 20th August 2011

Divers: Dave, Chris, Paul, Robert, Vikki, Chris & Phill, Chris, Tim & Mark

The tech divers were out in force on this sunny August morning, how pleasant it was with the warmth of the shining sun on backs as we transit the Heads. Conditions were very good, with flat seas and 20 metre viz. Tim & I team up with Dave & Chris to do penetration, and when we get to the bottom I notice most of the teams are going to the stern to start their dive which works well for me because I like to stat at the bow and finish by exiting through the Crew 's Quarters. We enter through the break in the pressure hull, just at the back of the torpedo tubes, the first thing we see as we enter the sub is a nice sized crayfish. I think to myself that won't last long as someone always wants to get themselves a feed, but to my surprise it was still there when we exited back out of the break having made our second penetration back through the sub.
