I knew things weren't going well when I saw Dave the first diver down on the sub on his way back up as we were descending. "No wreck" read the message on his dive buddies slate, but there was nothing I could do, I was the last of our group to descend, so I needed to stay with the group. Once on the bottom we took our best guess as to where the sub might be, Chris took a compass bearing & off we headed. After a few minutes he stopped we had a head count and then continued on, after any few minutes we did the same, whilst Chris lead us off into the wild blue yonder I spent my time trying to think up a good excuse for missing the wreck, after 11 minutes I still didn't have one but that was Ok because Chris with his superior compass skills has located us a J Class submarine and although most of us had used the majority of our air swimming the 150 metres into the current we did manage to see the conning tower and also inspect some of the hatches before it was time to start our ascent once again.
