Water Temperature: 14 Degrees; Visibility: Great
It didn't take long for the 'Winter Divers', most of whom were armed with cameras, to seek out the Weedy Seadragons. With fantastic visibility, the jetty seemed to be swarming with them.It was a terrific opportunity to get some great photos of the Weedys, Crabs, Blennies,Leatherjackets, Shaw's Cowfish, Globe fish and 2 different species of nudibranchs. The pylons of the pier were alive with marine life as were the sea weed beds.It was great to revisit this popular dive site to see that so many of the juvenile weedys that we saw last time had managed to survive and add to the existing population. After the dive it was back to the Flinders Hotel to debrief and refuel!!
Thanks Mick for sharing some of your great photos with us
