As usual we put a lot of thought into where the best diving conditions were going to be and everything pointed to Flinders Pier. Even though the conditions weren't great, according to Mark, you couldn't get in anywhere else (goodness knows he tried). The wind was blowing from the North, the tide was out, and although the water wasn't choppy there was still a bit of current running. To top it off, the poor vis made it very difficult for us to find the magnificent Weedy Sea Dragons that Flinders Pier is so well known for. A few of us were lucky enough to find one Weedy Sea Dragon, and Michael was the winner by spotting two of them. Poor Bek..... missed out again!! To look on the bright side, it was a good experience for us to dive in less than perfect conditions, and we enjoyed lunch at the Flinders pub afterwards.
What can I say\'85..you win some and you lose some!!!
