Scuba Diving in Melbourne

Ex HMAS Canberra Feb 21st

Water Temperature: 19C
Visibility: 20m
Divers: Sam, Don, Justin, Dale, Sebastian, Paul, Haroon & Mark

Although it appeared that the afternoon divers were going to get the better conditions, which is unusual, we still had it very good for our dive. Sam & Don decided to take advantage of their tech training & instead of doing 2 separate dives they spent the entire 100 minutes under water. This really gives you a great opportunity see the entire wreck, it's just a matter of taking the correct gas with you. For our 2 dives we were able to cover quite a bit as well. The growth on the wreck is coming along very nicely & I noticed some larger Leatherjackets starting to hang around. Don & Sam reported some silting down in the bilge, so I don't think it will be long before these areas become off limits to the inexperienced diver.
