Our first dive was at Dive Vic Reef, a nice easy dive to kick the day off and with plenty to see. With the shot being dropped in exactly the right spot we didn't have far to swim to start finding some good swim throughs and overhangs. Ian & I found some great ledges to get into and had a great time exploring every little overhang we could find, but like all divers we weren't happy with what we had and wanted to do more, so we went looking for more of the same, needless to say we didn't find it and after swimming over sand for 10 minutes swam back to where we were, which was by far the best diving.
Party Point was our next adventure, this time some of us had decided to dive as a group. Again the shot line was in A1 position - right next to a 4 kilo crayfish!!!! Luckily for him, cray season doesn't start for another couple of weeks because PP had a look in his eye that spelt lobster mornay for dinner!!! Our plan was to a maximum depth of 18 metres, which we stuck to without exception, but we could see some very inviting 'wall' below us and I'm sure next time back we might pay the price of a shorter bottom time and find out what's to be had at a slightly deeper depth. Although as it was no-one was disappointed with this dive we saw plenty, learnt a little and had a lot of fun.
