We started next to the pier in between the launching ramp rails and the pier. It wasn't long before interesting things, seahorses, blennies, hermit crabs, weedfish, juvenile globefish, flounder, schools of baitfish just to name a few. As we got down towards the middle of the pier we moved to the western side as the bottom is a bit different her. Old scallop, mussel and oyster shells cover the bottom here providing excellent cover and camouflage for different sorts of animals. In amongst the rubble we found Pipefish, Octopus, stinkfish, goatfish and large schools of juvenile leatherjackets. As we reached the end of the pier we were surrounded by hundreds of australian salmon that swam around us for a couple of minutes. Heading back down the pier we came across more pipefish out amongst the sea grass, a school of small squid and as we excited a school of about 20 yellow eye mullet. Great dive, lots to see looking forward to going back again.
