Another beautiful day for diving, sunny skies, calm seas, we went to Blairgowrie after our wreck dive on the Piggott first thing in the morning. We all headed in from the shore and entered next to the slipway. Straight away Amber spotted a stargazer, rhino pipefish and a golden chromodoris (orange nudi). Further down the pier we came across several short headed sea horses, cleaner shrimp, several decorator crabs, many small schools off baitfish, australian salmon, yellow eye mullet, goatfish, and the best camouflage artist underwater. We spotted a tassled anglerfish larking on one of the pylons waiting for his prey to come along, these guys have been discovered down at blairgowrie and have been quiet a find. They are very hard to find, but make it easier coz they tend not to travel to far so if you really look you can spot one eventually(about 80 minutes). Another great dive at the pier which is why it is one arguably the best shore dives in the bay.
