Having not dived this site before, we stood in the car park, surveying the site, and realized that there were 3 points of entry and basically 3 zones to dive in. Some people dived under the jetty, some dived in the shallow rocky reef area adjacent to the jetty and others made their way out to look at the marine life around the pylons adjacent to the Cerberus. A large Stingray was spotted, (what is it with large Stingrays and jettys????) large jellyfish, schools of small leatherjackets, sea stars, and as usual, our star seahorse spotter,* Mick*, managed to find a seahorse!! We were very fortunate to have the facilities of the Black Rock Yacht Club made available to us and Dennis kindly cooked a BBQ for us to celebrate the final shore dive of the Aquability Summer Shore Diving Program. I would like to thank the 63 shore divers who participated during this season and the 16 surface crew that came along to support the divers. I look forward to diving with you during our Winter Diving Program.
